Ascension Parish Restaurants Participate in Summer Restaurant Week

Ascension Parish is shining bright in the semi-annual DIG Restaurant Week with the participation of some local favorites!

From July 21 – July 26, 2025 you can visit these restaurants for a special prix fixe menu.

The Grapevine Cafe & Gallery-Donaldsonville, LA

$50 per person + tax

Appetizers

  • Spicy Pecan Shrimp- Fried shrimp tossed in horseradish aioli with spicy praline pecans
  • Fried Green Tomatoes- Topped with crabmeat and remoulade sauce

Entrees

  • Pecan Encrusted Redfish- Pecan-flour crusted and fried golden. Served with lemon butter
  • Crab Stuffed Chicken- Chicken breasts filled with crabmeat stuffing, grilled, fried, or blackened. Served with crabmeat au gratin

Desserts

  • White Chocolate Bread Pudding- Served warm with rich white chocolate sauce
  • Cheesecake- Served cold, plain, or topped with: Strawberry sauce or Pecan praline sauce

  • Cup of Crab & Squash Soup-Summer squash, red potatoes, and Blue Crab in a savory light broth

Entrees

  • Ahi Tuna Salad- Gulf fresh Yellowfin tuna seared and placed on spring mix blend, purple onion, avocado and mango. Served with citrus ginger vinaigrette
  • Trout Alomodine- Fresh Speckled Trout, dusted with crushed almonds and flour, then pan fried, topped with lump crabmeat and toasted almonds in a lemon butter sauce
  • Herb Roasted Chicken- Grilled chicken breasts cooked with olive oil, garlic and spices.

Desserts

  • Key Lime Pie-Sweet Custard + Tart Key Lime = Heavenly
  • Bread Pudding- House made bread pudding with New Orleans French Bread served with rum sauce.
