Ascension Parish Restaurants Participate in Winter Restaurant Week

Ascension Parish is shining bright in the semi-annual DIG Restaurant Week with the participation of some local favorites!

From January 26-31, 2026, you can visit these restaurants for a special prix fixe menu.

The Grapevine Cafe & Gallery-Donaldsonville, LA

$50 per person

Appetizers

  • Spicy Pecan Shrimp- Fried shrimp tossed in horseradish aioli with spicy praline pecans
  • Fried Green Tomatoes- Topped with crabmeat and remoulade sauce

Entrees

  • Pecan Encrusted Redfish- Pecan flour encrusted and fried golden. Traditionally served with lemon butter.
  • Crab Stuffed Chicken- Crabmeat stuffing between two chicken breasts, grilled, fried, or blackened. Traditionally served with crabmeat au gratin.

Desserts

  • White Chocolate Bread Pudding- Served warm with a decadent white chocolate sauce
  • Cheesecake- Served cold, plain, or topped with: Strawberry sauce or Pecan praline sauce

  • Bacon Wrapped Shrimp- 4 Jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon with cream cheese, jalapeno, and apple jelly.
  • South LA Crab Cake- Lump crab cakes baked in butter and served with Creollaise.

  • Cup of Shrimp & Mirliton Soup- Gulf shrimp, spices, and a touch of cream to round out this soul-warming soup.

Entrees

  • LA Combo- Fried stuffed crab, shrimp, oysters, catfish, LA crawfish tails, and hushpuppies.

  • Crab Champagne- Broiled Mahi-Mahi set upon angel hair pasta and topped with jumbo lump crabmeat sautéed in a champagne butter sauce. Served with salad or coleslaw and garlic bread.

  • Shrimp 7 Ways- Shrimp and Mirliton Soup, Shrimp Salad, Boiled Shrimp, Mike’s Special, Fried Shrimp, Stuffed Shrimp, Shrimp and Crab Au gratin. Served with hushpuppies, garlic bread, and salad or coleslaw.

  • White Chocolate Bread Pudding- New Orleans French bread baked in white chocolate custard and topped with white chocolate sauce
