Overview: It is 1887 in Gonzales, Louisiana. Ebenezer Scrooge, a wealthy banker who made his fortune foreclosing on bankrupted homes after the Civil War and lending money at high-interest rates, is visited by the ghost of his former partner, Jacob Marley, and the three Spirits of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet-to-Come. Through these travels and visions, Scrooge becomes a much kinder and gentler man to the citizens of Gonzales.
