Nestled between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Houmas House is the home of your next great dining experience. Its three restaurants, Latil’s Landing, The Carriage House, and Dixie Café, each provide guests with a culinary experience of a lifetime all on its own. Dixie Café has a full breakfast and lunch buffet of all Louisiana staple dishes. The Carriage House restaurant is casual dining in the elegant surroundings of the 1830s and Latil’s Landing restaurant allows guests to dine in the original 1770s French House while enjoying a custom 5-course tasting menu with wine pairings.
These one-of-a-kind restaurants have varying menus reflecting traditional Louisiana cuisine. Each menu is updated seasonally to reflect the availability of locally grown produce, providing a true farm-to-table experience. Their Chef, Jeremy Langlois, masterfully creates wonderful dishes using the freshest local ingredients that Louisiana has to offer giving his guests an unforgettable experience in one of Louisiana’s most beautiful settings.
Since arriving at Houmas House in 2005, Langlois has quickly become a well-known Louisiana chef garnering much publicity for himself and the Houmas House restaurants. In 2005, his recipes escalated Latil’s Landing to the Top 20 New Restaurants in the USA by Esquire Magazine. In 2012 he appeared on the Food Network show “Chopped”, and in 2014 was offered the prestigious opportunity to prepare dinner at the James Beard House in New York. Most recently, Chef Langlois was the recipient of the Top 40 Under 40 Award by the Baton Rouge Business Report.
